Spearheaded by the creators of the movie “Ghuspaithiya,” these individuals recounted their deeply personal stories of cyber threats, crimes, and phone tapping, shedding light on the profound impact these violations have had on their lives.

The event hailed as a “never-seen-before” initiative, provided a unique platform for survivors to voice their struggles and triumphs. Visionary director Susi Ganeshan and producer Manjari Susi Ganeshan attended the event to support and uplift these brave individuals.

• Job Scam: One woman shared, “I was asked to pay for a better job opportunity at a reputed company. After paying the amount, I realized I had been deceived when there was no response from anyone.”
• Investment Fraud: Another victim recounted, “I was lured into investing a large amount of money with promises of huge profits. When the money was gone, I understood I had fallen into a cybercrime trap. It was devastating to lose my hard-earned savings.”
• Senior Citizen Scam: A 70-year-old woman revealed, “A close acquaintance asked me for money, citing a need for help. Trusting him, I gave him the money, but he disappeared. It was a harsh lesson in vulnerability.”
• Social Media Deception: Another survivor narrated, “I met someone on Facebook who asked for money for his sick mother. Trusting him, I sent the money and later helped with a flight ticket to Mumbai. He never showed up, and his phone was off. I realized I had been scammed.”
