Mumbai: The dark, ambitious world of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups keeps getting bigger. The creators have now revealed Tara Sutaria as Rebecca—a character full of desire, danger, and vulnerability—after showing off powerful first looks of Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Nayanthara.
Rebecca: Classy, mysterious, and powerful
Rebecca is not only elegant and attractive. She is deadly.
The first-look poster shows her in the middle of chaos with a gun in her hand. She looks both fragile and powerful. She looks like she’s falling apart beautifully, but she has complete control. For Rebecca, power feels like something she was born with.
Tara Sutaria breaks away from her polished “pretty girl” image in this role. She takes on a rough, unstable personality that fits perfectly with the gritty world of Toxic. This is her first pan-India movie, which is a big step forward in her career.
Geetu Mohandas Talks About Working with Tara Sutaria
Director Geetu Mohandas gave us a close look at how Tara worked and how she acted on set. She said that Tara is a guarded person who does better when she has space instead of pressure.
Geetu said that Tara watched more than she talked and listened more than she said. The result was “nothing short of breathtaking” when she finally got on stage. The director thinks that the depth Tara brought to Rebecca will surprise audiences in the best way possible.
A Movie for All of India with Global Goals
Yash and Geetu Mohandas wrote Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, and Geetu Mohandas is directing it. The movie is being made in both Kannada and English at the same time. There are plans to make dubbed versions of the movie in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages. This shows that the movie is meant to be seen all over the world.
A Great Technical Team and Lots of Action
The movie has an amazing crew:
- Rajeev Ravi (winner of the National Award) as the cinematographer * Ravi Basrur as the music director * Ujwal Kulkarni as the editor * TP Abid as the production designer
Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) works with the National Award-winning duo Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee to plan out the action scenes, which will be stylised and explosive.
When it comes out and how it was made
