NANDINI – Directed by Onir
Indraneel, a queer Indian man, reunites with his estranged father in Melbourne for a ceremonial ritual. Nandini explores their strained relationship and the healing power of forgiveness in the face of grief.
JULES – Directed by Arif Ali, guided by Imtiaz Ali
Jules follows Sakshi, a newly married woman who forms an unexpected bond with Jules, a homeless woman. Together, they navigate personal struggles and discover the strength of human connection.
EMMA – Directed by Rima Das
Emma tells the story of a talented deaf dancer who faces self-doubt and discrimination. A meeting with another deaf dancer helps her embrace her uniqueness and find inner strength.
SETARA – Directed by Kabir Khan
Setara is a real-life story of a 15-year-old Afghan girl who escapes the Taliban and rebuilds her life in Melbourne. With family tensions and trauma, she finds belonging through her love for cricket. The actress plays herself, portraying her true life experiences.
