Trump Demands Iran Surrender as US-Israel War Rages

The US-Israel war against Iran has gotten worse in its second week, with explosions shaking Tehran and other cities as joint strikes go on without stopping. President Donald Trump has made a clear ultimatum on Truth Social, demanding Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and saying that there will be no negotiations unless Iran fully surrenders. He promised that after Iran gave up, the US and its allies would rebuild the country into a stronger economy under “great and acceptable” leadership. He ended with the words “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).”

Israel said it was entering a “new phase” of operations and began heavy bombing of Tehran’s capital, missile launchers, internal security centers, and sites in Lebanon. The war started around February 28, 2026, after US and Israeli airstrikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The goal was to stop nuclear threats and the regime’s ability to fight. Iran struck back with drones and missiles aimed at Israel and the Gulf, including strikes in the UAE and a drone attack on the US Embassy in Riyadh. President Masoud Pezeshkian defiantly refused to give in to demands for surrender.

Trump said that the long campaign, which could last 4 to 6 weeks, was necessary to get rid of immediate threats and stop nuclear progress. He used past actions like B-2 bomber strikes as examples. White House officials expect operations to go on for a long time because there is no clear leader in Iran after Khamenei. MAGA support is still strong, but the risks of the midterm elections are growing. Iranian forces continue to fight back, raising tensions in the region as the US closes some Gulf embassies.
