TUMHARI SULU – This year the trend in Bollywood shows that small films with a unusual theme, or something that is different with simple storytelling, is what captures the audiences interest when going to the movies.

New time director, Suresh Triveni brings something new to the table with Actress – Vidya Balan in “TUMHARI SULU” -The film revolves around a middle class housewife who has dreams to make it one day as an “Radio Jockey” – with a sexy voice. The radio night show becomes a hit, but at the homefront it becomes a showdown with her relatives, and frustrations with the family.

Viday Balan as Sulu is nomination worthy, and is brilliant. Even Actor Manav Kaul, as the simple easy going husband is quirky, and portrays his role as the husband by being refreshingly different, and not that stereotypical.

On the flip side, the songs are weak, and the film runs a bit long. 20 minutes of trimming would have made the film more superior in content. Overall the film gets a 3 star recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
