Indian movie star Vidya Balan has been named the national ambassador for the second part of the “Sanjeevani: United Against Cancer” project by the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation and News 18 Network. With Tata Trusts as knowledge partners, the program wants to get people all over India to find cancer early.
The effort, called #TimeNikaaleinScreenKarein, began in September with a message from Vidya Balan to the people. The actress tells both men and women to put their health first by getting regular cancer checks. Through strategic relationships, community involvement, and educational efforts, the program hopes to change how people think about early detection.
Cancer is still the second most common cause of death in the world, and many people are identified too late to get good care. However, early screening is an important way to avoid problems and can help doctors find problems faster, which can lead to better health results. As a well-known and respected actor in Indian film, Vidya Balan is likely to make the message of early testing, tumor control, and cancer awareness much stronger.
Vidya Balan talked about the project and said, “Screening is very important for finding cancer before symptoms show up, which lets for better and faster treatment.” Through this program, I hope to start talks about busting myths and false beliefs and promoting healthy habits that keep you from getting sick.

Chief Marketing Officer at Federal Bank, Mr. MVS Murthy, talked about the bank’s participation and how committed it is to building strong connections with customers through long-term projects. He made it clear that the Sanjeevani program fits with the bank’s goal to improve neighborhoods by encouraging regular health checks and activities that raise awareness.
“Regular testing and finding cancer early are key to improving the quality of life,” Murthy said, emphasizing how important it is for everyone to work together to find cancer early.
Tata Trusts and News 18 Work Together
Head of Brand and Marketing Communications at Tata Trusts, Deepshikha Goel Surendran, stressed how important early diagnosis is for better cancer results. “As pioneers in cancer care, we are committed to empowering patients and caregivers through early screening efforts, and this campaign will resonate with audiences across both rural and urban areas.”
Sidharth Saini, COO of News 18 Studios, talked about how important it is to get regular tests, especially since the number of cancer cases in India is going up. He was sure that Vidya Balan would be able to give the campaign’s message in a way that people could relate to, which would help remove the stigma surrounding cancer checks and get more people to take action to avoid getting it.
The Federal Hormis Memorial Foundation helped more than 3,000 patients and set up screenings for more than 1,700 workers from 30 big companies last year. This year, the effort wants to reach even more people by adding more screening camps and awareness events. The goal is to make sure that cancer tests are a normal part of many more people’s yearly checkups.
