Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is not just a filmmaker, but a voice of the nation. He is known as the Indic Filmmaker for his realistic and impactful films that reflect the true stories of India. His films like ‘The Tashkent Files’, ‘The Kashmir Files’, and ‘The Vaccine War’ have touched the hearts of the audiences and society.
But Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is also a responsible citizen who does not shy away from speaking up against the crimes and the injustice happening around him. He recently expressed his outrage over the sexual assault of a foreign female tourist by seven men in India. He shared a video of the couple who narrated their ordeal on social media and said,
“I have followed this account for a while. They post amazing videos of their adventure bike trip in India. It’s sad that 7 people sexually assaulted her. SAD.
Many foreign female tourists face this. We can’t afford this if our tourism is to grow globally.”

This is not the first time that the Indic Filmmaker has raised his voice for a cause. He has been vocal about various issues such as corruption, terrorism, censorship, and education. He has also been honoured with a Doctorate by the Governor of Maharashtra for his contribution to Indian cinema and culture.
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is currently working on two upcoming projects: ‘The Delhi Files, which is the third instalment of his ‘Files’ trilogy, and ‘Parva’, which is based on the novel by S.L. Bhyrappa. Both films are expected to be hard-hitting and eye-opening for the viewers.
