On November 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, NBC will air “Wicked: One Wonderful Night,” a two-hour special that will wow viewers. The special is in honor of the movie “Wicked: For Good,” which comes out in theaters on November 21. The special features star performances by Oscar-nominated Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. They reprise their roles from the hit Wicked musical. Co-stars including Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and others also feature in the special.
Filmed at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the event transforms the venue into an Emerald City fantasy. It comes complete with a 37-piece live orchestra led by renowned musical director Stephen Oremus. Choreographer Christopher Scott has come up with new dance sequences. These will make for an exciting night of music, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage. The event includes exclusive previews, including two brand-new original songs written by Stephen Schwartz just for the movie.
Fans can watch this magical night on NBC on November 6th. It will be available to stream on Peacock starting November 7th. This special is a big build-up to the movie release of the second part of the Wicked story. It’s a great way to celebrate one of Broadway’s most popular musicals.
