“The reach of TV is unparalleled,” says Agastaya Jain. “When you craft the right character and insight, even if you don’t know exactly where your audience is, you’re making an impact. Looking ahead, Jain believes that the future of television remains bright. “TV is not going anywhere. It just needs to continue evolving and avoid sticking to the same formula. Interestingly, web platforms are now adapting TV-style content to survive and engage audiences longer, which highlights the ongoing relevance of television content in today’s digital age.”
When asked about his favorite TV shows, Jain fondly recalls classics like Shanti and Malgudi Days, praising their brilliant storytelling and performances. “The stories were timeless, and the performances were unmatched,” he says. Recently, he has enjoyed the Sony show Katha, which, despite being an adaptation, captured the essence of human relationships—his favorite genre. “Stories about human relationships are always my top pick,” Jain adds.
