ZERO – Seeing many critics panning this new film of Shah Rukh Khan’s called “ZERO”, was a bit harsh. As a result I went with “ZERO” -expectations, but I actually enjoyed the film. It is an unusual love story, but filled with larger than life scenarios, that maybe far fetched, but like many Bollywood films, they can be way out there, but I commend SRK & Director Anand L. Rai to to go further and make a film that is refreshing and outside the box. You could say it is trying to bend the envelope of a love story with epic consequences.

It is a simple story about one should never take their love for granted, or leave them astray. As a result you can become a “ZERO” in life. Shah Rukh Khan as the 4 feet midget named Bauua Singh from Meerut, is a 39 year old man that lives on his parents wealth. He is witty, spoiled and filled with cockiness, but because of his height, he is having a tough time getting married. Until he sees this girl played by Anushka Sharma, who is scientist for NASA, but has Parkinson’s like disease and is on a wheelchair. Love is in the eye of the beholder, until something better comes along. That better thing is the sexy Bhakti Kumari film star, played by Katrina Kaif. The film shows the emotions of trust and betrayal that we all face in our lives, and this film brings that subject in a interesting and in an unusual new way.

Their are great cameos from Late Sridevi, Kajol, Alia Bhatt, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone, Abhay Deol. and many more. Both Anushka Sharma & Katrina are in top form in their characters. As for Shah Rukh Khan, he shows his Delhi/Meerut charm with the ladies in this film. Despite some over the top scenes and some flaws in its narrative, where things could have been presented with better resolutions – The film gets a 3 star recommendation. Enjoy!  Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
