A PRIVATE WAR – Many films are coming this “Thanksgiving”, but we must take time out to thank those war correspondent reporters that risk their lives on a day to day basis. They are in arms way in many of those war torn nations, where they bring you the in depth coverage of what is real. What is the political ordeals of those civilians in those countries face. Many have been casualties of war for nor reason.

“A PRIVATE WAR” – Directed by Mathew Heineman brings out the story of celebrated correspondent Marie Colvin, played by Rosamund Pike. With one eye missing and being their to report the misdoings of the “Tamil Tigers” in Sri Lanka, digging up mass graves in Fallujah, Iraq, cornering the Late Khadaffi during the revolution in Lebanon…. She did it all… without fear.

Working for the British Press, and The New York Times, she was awarded for her brazen talent and lauded for her merits. But at what cost?? It can be lonely out there and scary. The battle for truth and solace, even love was “A Private War” she faced within. The film is intense, especially when she gets to Syria. Rosamund Pike plays the role with passion and guts. Do take a look. The film gets a 3 star recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY
