Aishwarya And Abhishek To Reunite Onscreen After 8 Years On A Sweet Note

And that sweet note is called Gulab Jamun!

You read that right. If reports are to be believed, the stunning Bollywood pair – Aishwarya Rai Bahchan and Abhishek Bachchan – is all set to reunite for the silver screen after eight long years. The two were last seen together onscreen in ace director Mani Ratnam’s 2010 adventure drama, Raavan.

Guess who managed to bring the gorgeous couple back in films. Well, none other than the movie genius Anurag Kashyap. The project is interestingly called Gulab Jamun (a popular Indian sweet). Though we first heard the news in 2017, it is only recently that some sources have claimed that the collaboration is all geared up to transpire for sure.  Apparently, before the actors finally agreed to do the film, the makers had to do some changes to the scripts as per their demands. Any dope on changes, you ask? Yes, we say. Reportedly, Ash wasn’t too pleased with the role she was approached with and shared her apprehension with the director, who in turn, obliged and modified the script accordingly. Post the apt revisions, both Aishwarya and Abhishek gave a green signal to Gulab Jamun.

The film is said to be directed by Sarvesh Mewara and it will go on the floors soon. Watch out this space for more on the same.

So far as Aishwarya’s current filmography is concerned, the beautiful actress’s next, Fanney Khan, is all set to hit the cinema halls on 3 August this year. She plays a famous pop singer in the musical comedy, also starring Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta in key roles. Anil plays a taxi driver in Fanney Khan, who once wanted to make a name for himself in the music industry but circumstances weren’t in his favor. He now wants his daughter (played by newcomer Pihu) to become a celebrated singer. But again, owing to several hurdles on his way, he finds it hard to realize his dream of seeing his daughter as a famous pop star, just like Baby Singh, Aishwarya’s character in the film. As the story unfolds, Anil’s character abducts Baby Singh in a chase to fulfill his only dream.

On the other hand, Abhishek will next be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan alongside Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu. The romantic drama is set in Punjab with some portions in Delhi and Kashmir. The film will be out in theatres on 21 September 2018.
