Fanney Khan Song Acche Din: Anil Kapoor Will Touch Your Hearts In This Moving Number

The latest song from the upcoming musical comedy, Fanny Khan, is something every middle-class man would relate to. Titled Mere Acche Din Kab Aayenge, it is a soulful track beautifully composed and crooned by Amit Trivedi. Anil Kapoor, who plays the titular role in the film, has totally made the moving number his own. Irshad Kamil has written it. Check out how gorgeously the filmmakers have picturized the song and how amazingly Anil Kapoor has let us sneak a peek into his screen character of a hapless father who is fighting with one big question in his mind – “Mere Acche Din Kab Aayenge?”

Anil plays a taxi driver in Fanney Khan, who once wanted to make a name for himself in the music industry but circumstances weren’t in his favor. He now wants his daughter (played by newcomer Pihu) to become a celebrated singer. But again, owing to several hurdles on his way, he finds it hard to realize his dream of seeing his daughter as a famous pop star, just like Baby Singh, a popular singing sensation played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film. As the story unfolds, Anil’s character abducts Baby Singh in a chase to fulfill his only dream.

Well, that’s quite a lot about the storyline. Sounds like an interesting plot, doesn’t it?

The film’s previous two songs were both rehashes of old Bollywood numbers – Mohobbat from Jawan Hai Mohobbat (Anmol Ghadi, 1946) and Halka Halka from Ustad Nursrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Yeh Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai. While those two were good in their own ways, Mere Acche Din Kab Aayenge is a fresh and heartwarming number that leaves an impact on the viewers.

While we are talking about songs, let us inform you that the makers have planned a cool rehash of late legendary actor Shammi Kapoor’s iconic song, Badan Pe Sitare Lapete Hue. While the original lyrics and music will remain intact, the rendition will be reworked in order to add to its relevance to make it more in sync with the film’s plot. Picturized on Anil Kapoor, the song has already been shot. Excited, aren’t you?

Fanney Khan, directed by Atul Manjrekar, also stars Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta in key roles. It is scheduled to release on 3 August this year.
