David S. Zucker, a producer and writer at New York-based David Zucker Productions, has collaborated with former mob associate Sal Polisi to create a new television series titled “Crime Movies with Sal Polisi.”
The series will begin with 30 minute episode with Mr. Polisi talking about different scenes of Mob movies and explaining what was real and what was embellished. Mr. Polisi will also tell real stories of the Mob that were never told to the public.
Sal Polisi was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was introduced to life by an uncle.
He became an associate of the Columbo Crime family. He was nicknamed ‘Ubatz’ which means crazy in Italian. He then would later become a close associate of John Gotti and the Gambino Family. By the 1970s Polisi was running his gambling haunt Sinatra Club.
Once the drug business exploded Polisi realized the mafia lost its principles and core mafia traditions. Polisi decided to turn states in 1984 and become a federal witness and entered the Witness Program, in which he later would be interviewed about his mafia life on television.

David S. Zucker recently multiple winners including winner of the Cannes World Film Festival as a Director and creator for the Documentary film of the song “I Love Rock N Roll” has created multiple TV stations including My Jam Music Network and is opening two new channels for Beauty home shopping network and a Cannabis and Re Vu TV that has a partnership with Airy TV and deals with multiple Cable and major platforms worldwide.
Mr. Zucker is excited to create a new series showing scenes of Mob movies and having Sal Polisi who lived the life of a real Wise guy will tell the fans of what is real and embellished and fans love to always hear the real stories and never can get enough of Mob stories. Awesome TV will part of production team.
