FOUR MORE SHOTS PLEASE – Many of you may have seen – “FOUR MORE SHOTS PLEASE – Season 1 already, and Season 2 just aired on Amazon on April 17th this year. As you know Bollywood films are on hold for now, due to the pandemic of “COVID 19”. So it is time to move over to another platform to binge – watch on TV.
It seems to be heavily inspired by the American serial called, “Sex In The City”. For some may feel it may be to extreme and a bit contrived to be accepted in the Indian diaspora.But that is where the bucks stops there.Gone are the days of being conservative and being a hypocrite towards what woman want or may think.. Yes it is raunchy, a but naughty, witty,and clever. Yet it also tells the tales of woman being liberated and have the freedom of speech, that they truly deserve.
The cast is great, which features, “Sayani Gupta, Kriti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo, Banni J. Lisa Ray, Simone Singh, Prateik Babbar & Milind Soman. They all have pivotal characters to play, and you feel you are part of this group. The narrative tells the tales of 4 different girls with different upbringings,education and how they stick together when the time is needed. That bond is strong. Their insecurities,and their indecisiveness, even their desires and mistakes, make them unregrettable characters to reckon with.
They do get under your skin as well. My personal favorite is Kriti Kilhari, as the divorced lawyer and mom,. I want to see her in more films. She deserves more. Its fun and touching and full of heart. A must see. And deserves 4 stars recommendation.
