HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI – Like the first “Happy Bhag Jayegi”, which was a light comedy entertainer, the sequel follows the same suit. “HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI” brings the sequel to Shangai, China, for the second installment. It is double the trouble, where the theme of mistaken identity creates the premise of this episode.
This time its is Actress Sonakshi Sinha as “Happy – Harpreet Kaur”, who has ran away in search for someone in Shangai, but gets involved in a sticky situation with Chinese goons, who want to settle a deal gone bad in Lahore, Pakistan for their boss, played by Denzil Smith. He portrays a Half-Chinese/Half-Muslim guy who loves his language and culture, and wants to share is culture to everyone. This time people are after Sonakshi Sinha, instead of the first Happy, played by Diana Penty.
The film has corny humor, that should be commended to Jimmy Shergill & his Pakistani buddy, played by Piyush Mishra. Their comic timing is the highlight of the film between these two guys. Shergill as Bagga, who always looses the girl at the alter, and Piyush Mishra as the now retired ASP officer Afridi of Lahore, Pakistan are very hilarious together. But towards the end they are the highlights of the film. The film is an average affair, but enjoyable. The film gets a two and a half star recommendation. Enjoy! Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY
