HINDI MEDIUM-From Chandini Chowk to Vasant Vihar, it is indeed an uphill battle to get your child into a top private school in India. You have to have class, and an education, in order to get your child in such an institution, otherwise your child ends up in a poorly standard government school. And that is the nightmare that the parents of Pia Batra dread, who are played by Irfan Khan & Saba Qamar in “HINDI MEDIUM”.
It is a sheer delight watching them with all the funny antics and hardships they go through to get their daughter into the right school. The film also has a strong message about language, where India faces more priority on English medium, rather than focusing on flourishing their mother tongue.
Irrfan Khan, Deepak Dobriayal are fantastic, Saba Qamar is an actress to must keep an eye on. She is very natural and full of spontaneity, as a passionate mother, who is desperate to get her daughter in a best school in town. The film is highly recommended and gets a 4 star recommendation.
