HUNGAMA 2 – DIsney Hotstar – please pull up your socks when selecting such films for us to stream at home. Director Priyadarshan, who is famous for creating the formula of promoting the theme of “Comedy of Errors”, in most of his work. After “Hera Pheri” & “Hungama”, he has finally ran out of steam with “HUNGAMA 2”.
The film is flat and dry. Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffery & Prannita, are their just reading their lines and speaking at loud intervals for progressing this film forward. A simple story of a girl comes with her 3 year old baby girl to her Ex-Flames house. The Ex-Flame – Akash is played by Meezaan Jaffery denies all this. His father, a Colonel, played by Ashutosh Rana is shocked to hear the news, and wants answers from his son. Akash still denies it, and admits later that it is true.
The reason behind all this was that he is afraid of breaking his engagement with his new fiance. This is where Shilpa Shetty comes in to be the good friend to the family, and gives her advice. But why?? She is also married to Paresh Rawal, who is related to the family, and is much older to her. Rawal’s character thinks, that his wife is pregnant with Akash’s child. So there you have it folks. That is the story that makes you cry instead of laughing.
