JAB HARRY MET SEJAL – Director Imtiaz Ali brings two people who are reluctant to admit they share some kind of chemistry between each other. Once again he focuses on characters that are indecisive and confuse the crap out of each other, There is this underlying theme of having non-committal issues, yet when it is too late only then these characters realize each others worth towards each other.
This has been portrayed in his earlier work, from “Socha Na Tha”, Jab We Met”. “Rockstar”, “Highway”, to even the mediocre, “Tamasha”. I personally, feel the director tries to recreate a more cohesive version of “Tamasha”. without the eccentric insecurities the hero had in that film,
The first half is fast paced and the characters have been well portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan, as the cranky-lonely Punjabi tour guide, and Anushka Sharma as “Sejal”, who is a wildfire. She is cute as the bubbly Gujrati girl, who has lost her engagement ring, but now finds Harry the tour guide to help her find the ring across Europe. But as they go on this road trip, they get to understand each other better, and fall for each other..
After interval, the film drags and gets boring. The yes/no theme gets irritating to sit through. As a result the film gets only 2 stars and becomes unfortunately a big let down. Courtesy by Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
