“KAAGAZ” is a small fill with a big message and a big heart. A Zee Film release, and kudos to Director Satish Kaushik for making this movie with Pankaj Tripathi, who is simply brilliant as always.

Based on a true story, “KAAGAZ” tells the story of a man, named Lal Bihari, played by Tripathi who goes to get a loan to expand his “Musical Wedding Band” – business, only to realise that he has been rejected. The reason being that he has been reported as deceased on government paper. Many errors and corruption still happen like this in India. Now for 18 year he fights his case and looses all his money and sanity just to fight for what is his, and that is his identity.

It is very heartwarming to see Tripathi’s performance. He is so natural, and gives a new approach to the mannerisms of our human psyche when this happens to us. Even Satish Kaushik as the lawyer for him will put a smile on your face through all the irony that this man had to face. This is Filmfare and Oscar worthy, and it is only the beginning of 2021. “KAAGAZ” Watch it.
