KABIR SINGH – If you have gone through heartbreak, and obstacles in life, and there are uphill battles, then one can go down a downhill spiral. “Kabir Singh” is a character that has anger management issues, and can be edgy, but he is definitely…”A Rebel Without No Cause…”.
He is a topper in his field from college, and one of the best Surgeons that India has to provide. But he has an attitude, he is an alcoholic, and a druggy. When you try hard to makes thing right, and misunderstanding prevail, one becomes thick skinned.
Actor Shahid Kapoor has given his best performance till date. Kiara Advani as the shy conservative girl that he falls in love with is perfect in her role. After a long time there is some great dialogues that an actor can sink his teeth through, where he and the audience can enjoy.
I must say a special mention to these veteran actors that we rarely see these days, like Kamini Kaushal, as the Grandmother, and Suresh Oberoi, as Shahid’s father, give a natural performance that suits the values and the changing times we live in today.
In my book Shahid Kapoor needs an award rather than a joint in his hand for this role. The film gets a 4 star recommendation!! – a Must Watch!! Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
