LOVEBIRDS – This movie was to come out in the theater this April, but I am glad it is out on Netflix so quickly. . “THE LOVEBIRDS” is a time pass comedy that is light and cute. It is a fun watch for the weekend, I just wished it could have been more funnier and edgier. The film stars comedian Kumail Nanjiani & Issa Rae. They share good rapport together on screen, as a couple that is close to breaking up.
After 4 years things are not going the right way for them, until they end up in a car heist, where a so called cop runs over a cyclist in an alley with their car. The so called cop appears to be on the bad side of the law. They both after that run from the murder scene, but they fear that the police may think they are the ones who may have done the murder..
From there on the adventure begins. They are trying to find ways to prove their innocence. And along the way their bonding brings them closer back together. It is a predictable popcorn binge-watch film, but it will keep you occupied. The film gets a 2 and a half star recommendation. Courtesy – Awesome TV & Being Filmy
