‘Padmaavat’ selected for 21st Shanghai International Film Festival
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ which was mired in controversy for reportedly distorting facts of Rajputs and the Queen of Chittor, Rani Padmini, sparked a nationwide protest. However, after the release, the audience hailed the film and made it a blockbuster. The official Instagram handle of ‘Padmaavat’ shared that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has been selected in the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF). Deepika Padukone who played the role of the brave queen expressed her happiness on the film selection.
