Rishaabh Chauhaan, known for his role as Ritwik in Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo, is proving that career paths in the entertainment industry are no longer confined to traditional routes. While many actors transition from television to Bollywood, Rishaabh chose a different approach by starting with a Bollywood film and later moving to television. In a recent interview, he discussed his career journey and how the boundaries between TV and film are becoming less defined.

Rishaabh’s Career Journey: Bollywood to Television

Rishaabh made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with a film produced by Krushna Bhaiya. However, his career took an unexpected turn when the pandemic paused his work for two years. Despite this setback, he stayed active in the industry, working on movies, music videos, and eventually transitioning to television.

“I debuted in 2019 with a film, but the pandemic forced me to sit at home for two years. Now, I’m working on a new movie and some music videos. Currently, I’m also doing television, and I honestly don’t see much of a difference between the two,” he shared. He also pointed out that many prominent Bollywood stars, like Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan, are now also working in television.

Changing Perceptions of Television

The perception that television is only for actors who couldn’t make it in Bollywood has shifted, particularly with the rise of OTT platforms. Rishaabh believes this change has transformed how television is viewed.

“The idea that Bollywood actors shouldn’t do TV has changed, especially with the rise of OTT platforms. For instance, I’m working on Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo, and even Sun now has its own app,” Rishaabh said, highlighting how both TV and digital platforms are offering similar opportunities for actors today.

Embracing Both Mediums: Rishaabh’s Approach

For Rishaabh, the focus has always been on learning and growing as an actor, regardless of the medium. “For me, it was never about the medium; it was about learning. Television has a different experience compared to films. The biggest difference is the time pressure—you have to deliver a lot of content in a single day. But I’m enjoying the process,” he explained.

Ishq Jabariya: A New Romantic Drama

Currently, Rishaabh is captivating audiences in Ishq Jabariya, a romantic drama airing on Sun Neo. The show follows Gulki, a young woman determined to chase her dreams despite the obstacles set by her controlling stepmother. As Gulki’s journey unfolds, she may find love in unexpected places. The show stars Kamya Panjabi, Siddhi Sharma, and Lakshay Khurana in key roles.

Catch Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM.

Conclusion: Talent Over Medium

Rishaabh Chauhaan’s journey demonstrates that an actor’s passion and talent matter more than the platform they choose to work on. With both television and film offering unique opportunities, Rishaabh’s career is a testament to the evolving entertainment landscape, where the lines between Bollywood and television are increasingly blurred.
