Saif Ali Khan And Sara Ali Khan Were Really Close To Working Together In This Film

All set to join the Bollywood bandwagon, Sara Ali Khan is all over the internet for obvious reasons. She is young, pretty, bears an uncanny resemblance to her mommy Amrita Singh who was one of the most stunning actresses of her time, and above all, she is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita. All eyes are bound to be on this gorgeous girl on her way to star in her Hindi debut film – Rohit Shetty’s Simmba. Earlier, Sara was to debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, but due to some reasons, the film got delayed and thus, Simmba will be her first Bollywood release now. Going by the two big films in her kitty already, Sara seems to have taken the right decisions right in the beginning of her showbiz career.

Let’s come to the main point of this article now. While Sara is certainly the talk of the town and various directors must be hopeful of casting her in their projects, there is one particular project that came into highlight because it was super close to bringing Sara and Saif together for the very first time on the silver screen. Yup, you read that right. Sources reveal that the two were all set to share screen space with each other in the sequel of Hindi Medium, the 2017 comedy drama starring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in lead roles. But things didn’t turn out as planned by the makers.

Apparently, Saif wasn’t convinced with the storyline and the project, which is why, he refrained from agreeing to give his nod. Sources add that the filmmakers are now waiting for Irfan to return from London where he is undergoing the treatment for cancer.

Looks like, we will have to wait a little longer before we could watch the father-daughter duo in a film together. Meanwhile, here’s a bit more on Sara’s debut flick – she will be romancing Ranveer Singh in Simmba, which is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana are also playing pivotal roles in it.

An adaptation of the 2015 Telugu blockbuster Temper, Simmba is scheduled to release on 28 December 2018. Interestingly, the popular song from the 1996 film, Tere Mere Sapne – Aankh Maare Ladka Aankh Maare – will be recreated for Simmba. Tanishk Bagchi will compose the fun number.
