Saif Ali Khan’s First Look From Hunter Reminds Us Of Johnny Depp From Pirates Of The Caribbean
Saif Ali Khan’s career hasn’t been looking up for quite a long time now, and the actor surely needs a project that works as a game-changer for him. While the critically acclaimed Netflix series, Sacred Games, evidently brought him back into the limelight for his laudable acting chops, Saif is in dire need of a Bollywood blockbuster too. Going by all the buzz and now his first look in his upcoming film, looks like his next, Hunter, might just turn out to be that ray of hope for his Hindi film career.
Talking about Khan’s first look from the revenge drama, the actor looks menacing and intriguing from the word go! Sporting a rugged look comprising deadlocks tied together with a bandana, a long, bushy and unruly beard, kohled eyes, pierced ears and worn-out clothes – Saif has stunned us all with his rough and wild makeover, which is an absolute contrast with his usual debonair persona.
Come to think of it, we are instantly reminded of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow from Pirates of The Caribbean in the very first look of Saif’s Naga Sadhu’s first look from Hunter. Aren’t we? Yup, we couldn’t help drawing parallels between the two screen characters, of course in looks. Khan’s fierce gaze adds to the drama of his intimidating role – and we find ourselves comparing him to Depp’s pirate yet again. Intentional or unintentional, all we want to say is that we are in love with his look and have already begun expecting so much more from him in his next.
Since we are already talking about Saif’s captivating look in Hunter, it becomes all the more mandatory to share an interesting trivia with you all. We know that the actor had to undergo a lot to achieve this look, and growing his beard was a major effort he put in for his demanding character. But little did we know how he had to bear the brunt for the same in his personal life. Apparently, Kareena and Taimur just wouldn’t kiss him! Saif was quoted as sharing in an interview, “She (Kareena) says she likes it and Taimur pulls it very hard, but neither of them has kissed me a lot of late. If I ask Taimur to kiss my hand, he will do so. If I ask him to kiss my face, he just tilts his head on my cheek. The same scenario happens with the missus as well.” Amusing, isn’t it?
Saif has wrapped up the first schedule of Hunter in Rajasthan and is currently shooting for the second one in Mumbai. Directed by Navdeep Singh, Hunter is a period saga set in 1780. Saif’s unruly character – a wild swordsman who is an animal at heart – is out to avenge his parents’ murders. Reportedly, the Mukkabaaz actress Zoya Hussain and Manav Vij have also been roped in for the project.
