TADAP – I was indeed taken for a surprise with this film from Bollywood called – “TADAP”. Its been a while for a love story that deals with love and betrayal, and with new comers that have acted well. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala ,and Directed by Milan Luthria of “Kachhe Dhaage” & “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai” – fame. Lutria tackles the subject of a violent love story that is based on true events.

The film takes place in Mussoorie, India. It is a simple story of an orphan boy named Ishana. who is naive, sincere and is hard working. Things change when he falls in love with the politician’s daughter who has come for a visit on her college break from London. She is played by Tara Sutaria, who takes on this bold role with perfection. Saurabh Shukla and Kumud Mishra in supporting cast give that right weight to the subject as well.
Like I said it is a simple story but the way the treatment of the film and the music, including the background score by Pritam gives many layers and emotions to the film that brings it to another level. As for debutante Ahan Shetty in his first lead role, he appears confident and delivers the performance like a seasoned veteran with great maturity. He is much better than his father Sunil Shetty when he first was launched in “Balwaan” in 1992.
His grunge “KGF” – heartbroken :Gunda” will touch a chord with today’s generation. It has different kind of climax, that was indeed much needed for a change I felt. As an audience we need to be challenged with something new to digest. I sincerely wish Ahan Shetty and tara Sutaria the best, and hope to see them kick ass in their future endeavors. I feel these 2 stars are here to shine in the future, and I wish them all the best. Go see it in the theaters.
