UJDA CHAMAN – All is not well in Rajouri Garden, Delhi. It seems Chaman Arora is having a tough time in finding a girl to get married, and his Punjabi family does not make the matters easy. He is bald, an if he does not get married by 31, than the clock stops for good in getting married for him.

A film like “UJDA CHAMAN” is a small film, but with a big heart. The film has many beautiful messages that will make you really think, on how our society and people dictate, what beauty is… and what beauty should look like. Chaman is going bald, and he is getting rejected all the time. Played by Sunny Singh, this Chaman makes you laugh in his misery. His straight face humor and his bad luck, makes you feel compassionate towards his character and his frustrations. Manvee Gagroo as the chubby girl whose luck has lost out on her in Tinder, brings realism to her character as well.

The film preaches the theme of “Love is in the eye of the Beholder…” One must value one another, not primarily on their looks, but for who they really are. On the whole “UJDA CHAMAN” is a small, sweet light-hearted comedy that will put a smile on your face. The film gets a 3 stars recommendation.  Courtesy Awesome TV & Being Filmy.
