MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN – The suspense of “Alfred Hitchcock Style”, and the nostalgia of the 50’s with those James Stewart films like, “Vertigo” & “Rear Window”, comes a classic in the making, which is this film called – MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN”.

Written and Directed by Ed Norton is also brilliantly acted by him as an Private Investigator, who has a twitch when he speaks. His timing is perfect, and natural. He sees an assignment that goes bad, where his mentor and father like figure, played by Bruce Willis, gets murdered by goons. Something big was about to unfolded, and it is up to him to solve this mystery.

The film is set in the 50’s in New York City. It gives that gritty setting to the film. That was a time when politicians, and people in big power made there own laws to shape what the city should be to their liking. In a way it is an eerie way of looking at our today’s corruption with politicians. Alec Baldwin and Willem Dafoe are great as well, create this web of conspiracy.

Norton deserves an Oscar nomination for this film.He is so genuine in this character. Unveiling the truth is the ingredient for this suspense thriller, The film gets a 3 and a half stars recommendation. Go check it out. Courtesy Awesome TV & Being Filmy.
