WELCOME TO NEW YORK – I know I have taken a week to get back to you with my review on this film, and this is the first time I did not feel like really writing a review for “WELCOME TO NEW YORK” – A Vashu Bhagnani production. That tells you how bad the film is from my point of you.

Personally I feel Actors like Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha are talented stars but hamming and putting their name on this project does not get any admiration from its audience. As for Karan Johar the filmmaker and the entertainer in a double is twice the pain to sit through. His gay and cheesy humor is just crass.

The film concept may have looked good on paper but its execution of having a plot that revolves around the 2017 “IIFA” – Bollywood Awards at the Giant Stadium in New Jersey, where two characters get to be behind the scenes in a real live event is very dry and boring to sit through.

Sonakshi plays a Gujrati designer that wishes to make it big to design clothes for the top stars, and Diljit wants to make it big by entering the show as a Bollywood contestant. It tries to be a light comedy, but there is no humor. For such roles they do not need to dream and be big, when they are in real life. The film takes us through a nonsense joyride till the end, The film gets only 1 star. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
