AIYAARY – A covert mission goes bad in the Indian Army regime, while the Indian politicians put a blind eye, and does not take the blame. As a result one soldier has to take the fall, while the other goes rogue in Neeraj Pandey’s – “AIYAARY”.

“AIYAARY”, in English means “Trickery”, and it appears Col. Abhay Singh, played by Manoj Bajpai who is proud of his country, has been sabotaged along with his team on a undercover mission. Arms deals, weapons, and military housing deals are being purchased with bribes by the military and the government, created the crux of this story.

Siddarth Malhotra plays the young soldier who learns everything from his mentor, played by Bajpai, and he is at a crossroad to decide to either go silent, or blow the whole news to the media.

This film concept can be only made like this by Neeraj Pandey. But this time he fails in making it gripping like his earlier work. The film in the beginning is slow as well.

However we need to see more of Manoj Bajpai, His performance has always something new for the audience to see. His mannerisms and timing is superb in this film when he is getting to the bottom of this problem. “AIYAARY” gets a 2 and half star recommendation, and caters only to a niche audience.
