ANGREZI MEDIUM – I know many of us our cooped up at home and Bollywood films, including Hollywood film have paused their releases indefinitely for now in the theaters. But wait… You can see some great films thru streaming on Amazon, Hotstar & and on Netflix.

The movie may have had not a proper time release during March in India, but now you can see Irrfan Khan back from his recovery, in this wonderful sequel, or rather in another episode in “ANGREZI MEDIUM”, along with Pooja Rattan, Kareena Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia & Deepak Dobriyal.

The film may not have that wittiness and quirkiness like the first one in “Hindi Medium”, but this film has its emotions and humor intact with the right amount, Set in Jaipur,India, the film tells the story of a widow father who has to raise his daughter by himself. He runs a sweet store, and comes from a middle-class background, where dreams of becoming successful is very limited. As his daughter becomes college bound, her dreams and goals are for her to study abroad in England. This becomes her obsession.

Any parents wish is that their child gets the best education, but if you have no money, what do you do?? Even the daughter does not wish to burden her father. But there is humor in this situation. But what touches your heart is that as a parent, one always wishes that their kin is always beside them, while the separation is the toughest part to handle when they grow up.

Irrfan Khan and Deepak Dobriyal as his cousin are in character and in form, They are full of heart in in their roles. To fulfill ones daughter’s dream, and having them educated is the biggest prize for any parent. It is a fun feel good family entertainer, that is available on Hotstar.
