CHARLIE’S ANGELS – Yes…once again the famous 70’s TV Show gets a reboot for the big screen. This time we have Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, Patrick Stewart as the former “Bosley” – (The Boss), and Elizabeth Banks as the new “Bosley” in rank in this version..
For a mainstream, glamour, gloss, and action film, one has to hand it to Elizabeth Banks for directing this film smoothly, since she is an actress herself. Beautiful locales, great car chases, but a predictable plot to start this franchise once again dampens the momentum. Something was missing I felt.. I wish there was more character development between the girls, but in the end result the film is just time – pass.
But one great thing about this version however, is that is it has an awesome dance soundtrack that I want for my car stereo badly. Overall the film gets a 2 and a half star recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & Being Filmy.
