FORD VS. FERRARI – “…I cant guarantee you winning the race, but I can guarantee the guy who can get you there…” – This line was aptly said by Matt Damon’s character in “FORD VS. FERRARI”. I indeed now have an appreciation for the Ford Mustang GT 40 of the 60’s. They looked modern and were fast paced, outdoing “FERRARI’S” speed at 218 mph at that time.
“FORD VS FERRARI”, is a film that has substance. Set in the 60’s – Henry Ford II was facing a slump in sales. The baby boomers had jobs, and America was booming. It was the need for sexy, sporty cars, but “FORD was behind, until the Mustang was introduced.
Based on true story, the film tells the story of 2 friends that depended on each other, played by Matt Damon – as Shelby, and Christian Bale as Miles.One designed cars, while the other raced them. But they were at loggerheads with each other for the best outcome.At the same time it was a bond, a teamwork that brought FORD 4 wins at the “Le Mans Race”, in France.
The film is fast paced like a racing car, with great acting. One of the best performances by Matt Damon so far. Go see this must see film. The film gets a 3 and a half star recommendation. Enjoy!! Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
