CHEHRE – Slowly Indian films are coming back to the big screen across America, and finally the long delayed film from this April just released this week in August. Finally Amitabh bachchan is back along with Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, and Rhea Chakraborty in “CHEHRE”. Directed by Rumi Jaffery who has adapted the swedish film into Hindi is a suspense thriller that is set in the snowy hills of North India, which is about 286 kilometers away from New Delhi.

Hashmi plays an affluent CEO of an Ad Agency, who gets stuck on the road, and needs a place to stay, until the weather gets better. Annu Kapoor who sees him, then helps by taking him in to his place, where he, who is a retired defense lawyer, stays there with a retied judge, and neighbor, who is a retired prosecutor. played by Amitabh Bachchan. They spend their free time there on a daily basis. Amitabh plays Lateef Zaidi, who is very observant person to detail of a persons  – “CHEHRE” – and behaviour.

When they meet the new visitor, they all entice to play the game of a courtroom case. Now Emraan Hashmi get embroiled in this situation, and is being put on trial. Now is it real or is it fake? You will have to see it on the big screen. There is moral of the story to this film, that everybody in life may have committed a crime knowing or unknowingly. But to be innocent is the key to victory. It is a good concept, but towards the second half it drags a little.  Watch it for Amitabh Bachchan’s performance.
