“CRAZY RICH ASIANS” is fun film for the entire family to see, and the American audience is lapping it up. Move over “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” – Its time to show how Singapore chooses what it means to be wealthy in a dynasty.
The honor, the prestige that one inherits throughout their wealth and through their culture is of utmost respect. It is a typical love story where a poor Chinese girl finds her Prince, but it was kept as a secret from her in the beginning. Tradition, values, will always play a conflicting role in today’s time, on how Asian countries find that balance.
The film is Oscar worthy. Lucy Lu of “Charlie’s Angels” has done a great job as a the Matriarch of the family who is very straight forward in getting her message across to her son, Kris Aquino and Henry Golding as the love struck couple share great chemistry and compliment each other. Move over Prince of England, its the “Crazy Rich Asians” that are loaded and know how to throw a wedding on a Grand Scale. The film is a feel good film that gets a 4 star recommendation! – Enjoy!!
