GULLY BOY – Ranveer Singh Ka Time Aayega!!!…Matlab Bole Toh Aa Chukkha Hai…..Rapping and the Hip-Hop scene has become a Global event that brings poetry, prose, and words of one’s truth to life, for those who wish to enjoy it.

“GULLY BOY”, Directed by Zoya Akhtar, sets the story of a rapper that wants to make it in this form of music, but he comes from poverty. The setting of the slums in Dharavi,- Mumbai – India, shows where raw talent can come from. The film does remind you a little of Eminem’s – “8 Mile”, but the similarities stop there. Ranveer Singh shows a restrained and not over the top performance. His rapping comes from the heart with passion. This is one of his best performances to date. After his “Padmavat” and”Simba” – I can say with confidence that he is indeed an actor that shows that he is diverse and can fit into any character, and make them believable.

Vijay Raaz, Kalki Koechlin, and new find Siddhant Chturvedi as :”MC Sher” is raw, and has that X factor, that something new to offer to its audience. As for Alla Bhatt, she is a firecracker. Her role as Saifeena, shows her character as a Muslim who has spunk and possessiveness towards her “Gully Boy”. She is natural, quirky, short tempered, and is perfectly suited for the role that is in love w Ranveer Singh – (AKA – Gully Boy). Kudis to Zoya for making introducing a new theme and concept film for Bollywood. The film gets 4 Stars recommendation. It is a definite worth a watch. Enjoy!! Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
