I CARE A LOT – After recommendations from many of my friends, i checked out this new movie on Netflix this weekend, called, “I CARE A LOT”. At first I felt this is a very boring name for a movie, or is it another rom-com film, but I was refreshingly enlightened and engrossed in watching this film that features Rosamund Pike, Dianne Weist & Peter Drinklage in key roles.

The film is an eye-opener of what shady things happen in America, when you are old, or if you are a widow, with nobody around you, or no children to keep an eye on you. This is where a “Care Taker” comes after researching your bio, and makes it a profitable case for themselves. Rosamund Pike plays Marla Grayson, who has a lesbian lover-partner, and both run an agency that provides services for the elderly, so that they can be attended at a old home facility permanently. Yes and there is no returning back for them.

They cherry pic their clients, and then they run their scam, by bribing the doctors to give fake medical records and having the courts rule in her favor to become their legal guardian. Then they take over their assets and sell off their property to make themselves a fortune. Rosamund Pike of “Gone Girl” is indeed a bad girl, and is ruthless. But she meets her match with Dianne Weist. When you mess with the wrong old lady played by her, you as an audience will be in for a joyride.

That is when the plot thickens and twists and turns await you in this film. I wish though the ending could have been more stronger, and more edge of your seat. But do see it for the acting.
