JAWAANI JAANEMAN – The NRI crowd will certainly be entertained with this contemporary remake of an Argentinian film called, “JAWAANI JAANEMAN. The film tells the story of a UK based real estate guy named Jazz who is in his mid 40’s, played by Saif Ali Khan. He lives to party, and boozing up at nightclubs in England. He dates girls half his age. So basically this “Jawaaan Ka Puttar”, never wants to feel old, and be tied down into any marriage or relationships. So let the good times roll, But that comes to a halt, when he finds out that he has a daughter he never knew.

The film takes a funny look at the unusual relationships that are complicated, and how one has to tackle and accept it head on. The film is yet again another good sensible comedy film with a heart.

Saif Ali Khan is perfect for the part and suits the character perfectly. Alaya Furniturewalla debuts as the daughter who is in search for her father, givess a natural performance. Even Kumud Mishra, as Saif’s big brother, Farida Jalaal as the mother, and Kubbraa Sait as his dear friend to Saif’s character, in a small role gives a sincere and an earnest performance. We need to see her in bigger roles. Even Tabu in a cameo as the hippie mother is hilarious, and is top notch as always.

Its a fun film with a heartfelt message, that one needs friends and above all family to be with you in good and in bad times. Otherwise it is a lonely journey out there. The film is fun and enjoyable. Its a must see… and it gets a 4 – Star – “Paisa Vasool” recommendation. So goo see it. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
