MISS BALA – Things are not going great on both sides of the Wall. President Trump would probably endorse this film called “MISS BALA”, which releases this Friday. Gina Rodriguez leads the cast as a Make-Up artist from California. She is a U.S. Citizen of Mexican heritage. She loves to visit her best friend in Tijuana who is joining a Baja Beauty Pageant, and she needs her help and expertise. All hell breaks loose when they go for a night out at a club. Gangsters botch an assassination attempt against a corrupt Mexican Police Sheriff that finances these pageants. She gets kidnapped and is forced to do things against her will to save her friend. Even under cover U.S. border cops ask her for help, but turn a blind eye on her.

If the good does not help then you have to be with the bad. The film is predictable, but i enjoyed the twists and dark grays shades of the character Lino the gang leader, played by Ismael Cruz Cordova. He stood out in this average film. The film gets 2 stars only. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
