SHAZAM – The TV show from the 70’s gets an uplift from DC Films in “SHAZAM!”. The film despite being a bit long and at times a bit violently gruesome for young kids…but it does entertain. The film has that good message, that one who inherits power should share the power with its family.

The film shows a boy named Billy, who gets adopted by a foster family, where he gains siblings, and a close friend that is always there for him. As he gets transported through a gateway through a door, he meets an old spiritual like person, named “SHAZAM”, that wishes to pass on his powers to a would be champion that would do good, and fight off evil. But the fun part is imagine a 14 year old gets these new strengths and ends off being too proud, and a show off.

The humor and scenes where he is testing his capabilities are cute and funny. For some reason I felt actor Zachary Levi reminded me of “Greg Brady” – from “The Brady Bunch”. Overall the film is a new franchise from DC, and it gets a 3 and a half star recommendation. Courtesy Awesome TV & BEING FILMY.
