THE CURRENT WAR – At the turn of the century, there was many inventors that created history, yet were in war with their ideas, and patents, on whose concepts would benefit America, with the invention of light and electricity. “THE CURRENT WAR” – is indeed an educational film to watch. To see Thomas Edison, Westinghouse, and Nicolas Tesla at loggerheads with each other, and dividing their creations, rather than uniting is the plot of this story.
The film has a stellar cast with Benedict Cumberbatch, and Michael Shannon, along with Nicolas Hoult & Tom Holland. The first half breezes through their merits, and creations, but toward the 2nd half the pace slows down. I wish one could see Edison, Westinghouse, and Tesla’s characters more meatier. the film.
