The action and violence in this version looks more believable. However the film is a bit lengthy, and that does take away the strength from this adaptation of this comic caper. It felt that there are many plot lines, or rather episodes joined into one big story. A little trimming could have helped. The film is still worth a watch.

Seeing Rasputin played by Rhys Ifans is the highlight of the film. He creeps you and at the same time cracks you up with his portrayal of this psychotic Russian Monk. The film is fun and entertaining, but at times it is predictable, also at times far fetched.
